Evacuation Systems
Designing a high intelligibility voice alarm and evacuation systems requires a thorough knowledge of acoustics, professional system building capabilities and a complete understanding of (and ability to comply with) the numerous British Standards, codes of practice and regulations that exist to ensure that systems operate safely and effectively.
Voice Evacuation systems provide excellent crowd control, should the situation arise in busy populated buildings and areas. They can work 'independently' or be integrated with the existing fire alarm panels. The system can initiate and control an evacuation through a series of digitally recorded messages: "Alert", "Evacuate", a staff coded "Bomb Alert" and a systems test. There is a manual override for direct communication to the public through a Fireman's Microphone Panel and the system has an in-built self-monitoring process with audible and visual fault indication.
Galloways installs these systems to the stringent British Standards BS 7443 and BS 5839.
