A new dimension
A high profile East Yorkshire venue has commissioned PDS to install LCD screens which will show real time events taking place in its function suite.
Platform One, a hotel and restaurant situated in Hedon Road, east Hull, is having five plasma screens installed in its main function suite, which seats 200 people. The venue plays host to a wide range of events such as weddings, celebrations, charity nights and business exhibitions.
PDS will be installing the screens around the suite and cameras will capture footage of guests dancing and interacting, which will be displayed on screens in real time and recorded so that guests can request copies afterwards as well. Platform One's Kate Wagstaff is delighted to be working with PDS on this exciting project. "The screens will bring a whole new dimension to our events," she said. "We are increasingly hosting a wider range of events and we want to ensure that we continue to offer the best facilities in the region. "Platform One is very popular for weddings and personal celebrations, as well as business events, and I think the screens and footage will prove very popular because it's something people can keep forever."
